what you gather
- ·1/4 cup sea salt or kosher salt
- ·1 tbsp activated charcoal (or ash from a banishing fire)
- ·1 tbsp ground black pepper
- ·small jar to mix in
- ·small dish or shaker to dispense
the working
- Iin the mortar (or jar), combine salt + charcoal + pepper. Stir clockwise 9 times.
- IIas you stir, name aloud what is being banished. Specifically. 'The energy of [person]', 'The pattern of [behavior in the home]', 'The presence that arrived after [event]'.
- IIIafter the 9th stir, hold the jar between both hands and breathe on it three times.
- IVspeak the incantation while sealing the jar.
- Vbefore sunset on Saturday, sprinkle the black salt across each threshold of the home (front door, back door, bedroom doorways).
- VIleave overnight. Sweep up at dawn and dispose far from the home (off-property).
