what you gather
- ·two small slips of paper, one path written on each
- ·a small dish
- ·a grey or white candle
the working
- Iwrite each path on its own slip, plainly, without editorializing.
- IIplace both slips in the dish, side by side, not touching.
- IIIlight the candle between them.
- IVspeak the incantation, then sit quietly for several minutes, attention resting on the dish rather than on either slip specifically.
- Vnotice which slip, if either, your attention keeps drifting toward. Don't force it.
- VIlet the candle burn out naturally if possible. Sleep on whatever surfaced before deciding.
she speaks
"Both roads are real. I don't need to fear the wrong choice — I need to hear the one I already lean toward."
she expects
Often a quieter certainty by morning, not a lightning-bolt answer. This working surfaces your own leanings; it does not remove the responsibility of choosing.
